NEW! A Strategic Approach to Maximizing Value through Cancer Partnerships and Affiliations
-
Changes in the cancer landscape, including a rapidly aging population and increasingly varied and complex cancer treatment options, have contributed to skyrocketing demand for cancer care, and many organizations have found that they lack the infrastructure or capacity to meet all the needs for cancer care in their communities. As the needs increase, even the most comprehensive programs are finding that they can’t be all things to all people in all locations. To combat this, many cancer programs are looking to augment their programs through partnership or affiliation with complementary organizations. While community hospital or physician group partnerships may often appear to be the lower-risk or more convenient route to program growth and/or development, today’s cancer landscape is fraught with examples of programs that were unable to capitalize – clinically and economically – on a seemingly straightforward affiliation opportunity due to inadequate prior planning and an inability to appropriately align organizational values.
Join this webinar, hosted by ECG Management Consultants’ Center for Advanced Oncology practice, to learn more about industry trends and best practices for development of lasting and successful cancer partnerships and affiliations in the community. Gain insights into how other cancer programs have spurred program development and growth through 1) identification of optimal community partners, 2) alignment of values and goals between partner organizations, and 3) design of mutually beneficial affiliation and funds flow models.
This session offers practical guidance for cancer center leaders and administrators. Learn what oncology programs should be thinking about when considering community partnerships and affiliations to drive future growth and success.

How Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Slashed Patient Wait Times by 30%
-
Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center experienced the typical infusion center pain points of high patient wait times, a desire to increase capacity without the resources to do so, unmanageable, peaky midday spikes, and burnt-out nurses who frequently missed their lunches. iQueue for Infusion Centers was implemented in three of Vanderbilt’s infusion centers, and shortly after implementation, VICC experienced the following results:
Nearly 30% decrease in patient chair wait time
20% decrease in drug wait time at the largest center
Optimized scheduling templates that level-load appointment demand across the day
Join the VICC and LeanTaaS teams to learn more about how the partnership allowed growth and improved both staff and clinician experiences.
